The Rising Star Scholars Foundation is a student-centered nonprofit dedicated to supporting college students through essential resources, career readiness, culturally responsive initiatives, and family-centered support.
We believe education should not be out of reach due to financial hardship, family responsibilities, or a lack of support. Our work focuses on helping students persist, graduate, and build sustainable futures.
Mission Statement: To empower college students through education, equity, and opportunity by providing essential resources, career support, and family-centered initiatives that help students succeed.
Meet Our Founder
Star Hodge is an entrepreneur, mentor, and advocate for educational equity. Her journey through higher education was not easy. As a young mother and working student, she experienced firsthand the challenges of balancing school, family, and financial pressure with limited support.
Those experiences shaped her passion for helping other students overcome similar barriers.
Through The Rising Star Scholars Foundation, Star is committed to building the support system she once wished she had - one rooted in compassion, opportunity, and action.
